School Profile

Clayride Primary School was established in 1979 by the Department of Education. We are a public, English-medium school operating in a co-eductional environment. The school is nestled within the Clayfield community in Phoenix (north of Durban). Our doors are open to a wide array of learners across diverse socio-economic strata - serving learners from Phoenix, Inanda, Ntuzuma, and KwaMashu. Today, this vibrant school has an enrolment of approximately 485 learners. The student body is culturally diverse. We serve learners from Grades R-7 (ages 5 to 13).

OUR STAFF

Clayridge Primary School has a dedicated band of teaching staff, as well as a highly committed set of non-teaching staff.
The school management team consists of the Principal, and two Departmental Heads.
We have 19 full-time educators.

Mr K.G Naidoo

School Principal

Mr K.G Naidoo

Mr Naidoo started teaching in 1990, and joined the Clayridge family in 1995. He was promoted to Departmental Head in 2003 and appointed as the Principal in June 2019. Mr Naidoo comes armed with the following qualifications: Higher Education Diploma (Springfield College), BCom (UNISA), and BEd Hons (UKZN)

Mrs L Pillay

Mrs Pillay started teaching in 1985. She was promoted to Departmental Head at Clayridge Primary in 2003. Mrs Pillay is experly qualified - possessing a B Paed(Commerce), a Diploma in Special Education, and a BCom Hons. degree.

Mrs Naidoo started teaching in 1984 at Clayridge Primary. The depth of her experience in pedagogics serves as a treasure-trove of knowledge. She posseses a Junior Primary Diploma, and a Higher Education Certificate.

Mrs Singh plays a vital role in the administration and day-to-day running of our school. She serves the role of the main front-desk officer, is a key figure in handling the school administration, and maintains our financial records.
